The two former Man Utd players have recently acquired a majority stake in League Two side Salford City.
Gary Neville and David Beckham recently completed a takeover of Salford City, which saw them buy out the rest of the Class of 92.
The BBC reported that a group led by Beckham and Neville spearheaded the new ownership group, with former banker Lord Mervyn Davies and businessman Declan Kelly being among others who were also involved with the group.
In total, nine shareholders make up the new consortium, including India-based Dream Sports Group, Shravin Mittal, Frank Ryan, Nick Woodhouse and Colin Ryan.
Since the Class of 92's arrival in 2014, Salford won four promotions in five seasons to reach the English Football League in 2019, but things have been a bit stagnant since then and they have remained in the fourth tier since then.
This new investment could be the catalyst for improving results for the Ammies, with this takeover coming after new investment was encouraged in 2024.
Gary Neville was a Manchester United stalwart, playing at the club between 1992 and 2011 as a senior player and being part of the most successful period in the club's history.
He won eight Premier Leagues, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues in his time, playing a big part in a lot of that success with his consistent performances at right-back.
With over 600 appearances at the club, there are few who are bigger one-club men than Gary Neville.
As a result, he was paid pretty handsomely by the Red Devils, with the BBC reporting in 2001 that he had been offered a new six-year contract worth £11 million. That deal averaged out to £32,000 a week, which at the time was double his previous wage.
This was reportedly doubled to around £60,000 a week towards the end of his career, according to Goal.
Since retiring, he has embarked on business ventures mainly centred around the Manchester area and his net worth was estimated to be around £70 million in 2024 by the Manchester Evening News.
David Beckham was a player that transcended football. One of the original poster boys for being more than just a player, his influence off the pitch was arguably greater than what he did on it.
Not quite a one-club man like Neville, Beckham spent more time at United than any other club, but also played for: Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Guardian reported in 1999, when Beckham was still at United, that he was the second-richest footballer in the world, earning over £3m from both his basic contract and endorsements.
They said that his contract at the football club was £1.5 million before bonuses for the year and his sponsorships with companies such as Adidas amounted to around £1.2 m.
Now, David and wife Victoria have a combined net worth of £500 million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
The two together have some serious money behind them, as do the other members of the consortium, so Salford may look to spend big and move up the leagues.
