Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The Red Devils are languishing 15th in the table with 30 points and are only goal difference ahead of West Ham United after 26 games.
United are winless in the last three league outings. Manager Ruben Amorim will expect a stronger performance against Ipswich midweek.
Ahead of the game, the Portuguese tactician may have to cope with yet another injury setback.
Noussair Mazraoui picked up a knee injury in the second half versus Everton on the road. He complained of discomfort and had to be replaced.
The Moroccan star will undergo medical tests later today but he is doubtful for the game against the Tractor Boys at Old Trafford. Changes will be needed at the back.
Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire played the full 90 minutes against the Toffees. The former was poised to be replaced by Yoro before Mazraoui’s unfortunate injury.
De Ligt and Maguire were not at their best, but they are pretty much assured to start with Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans also on the sidelines.
The pair are likely to be accompanied by Yoro in the back three. Victor Lindelof is the other experienced option at Amorim’s disposal, but he has barely got on the pitch.
The Swede’s contract expires at the end of June, and he looks set to leave on a free transfer.
Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu are nailed-on starters in the wing-back positions.
