Nottingham Forest 1 Newcastle 3 – Sunday 10 November 2pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see today.
United dominating but somehow finding themselves a goal down at half-time.
However, blowing Forest away in the second half, scoring three goals and it could/should have been more.
A couple of great wins at St James’ Park against Chelsea and Arsenal, now an excellent win and performance at Forest to take us into the international break.
Another winning snapshot post-match.
Another photo = The seventh of this season.
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
(It is actually the eight victory of the season for United but for whatever reasons, no winning photo after the win over AFC Wimbledon. Can only guess winning 1-0 at home to League Two opposition might have looked a ‘little’ lame.)
So after having to wait six and a half weeks since the win at Wolves for a fifth winning photo of this season against Chelsea, it is now three in a row!
Great to see.
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
Twenty seven more Premier League games to go, as well as fingers crossed plenty more cup matches, so hopefully many more of these photos to come.
