Lauren Hemp has been named Etihad Player of the Month for October.
The winger fought off Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Yui Hasegawa from our three-player shortlist to claim last month’s prize.
Over 7,500 fans had their say in this month's vote, with 46% of those who took part choosing Hemp.
The England international was at the centre of another hugely successful month for the Club, which saw us win all five of our matches in all competitions.
Part of the squad’s leadership group and one of our longest serving players despite still being just 24, the winger has taken her game to new levels this season.
She featured in all five fixtures, grabbing two goals and three assists as we maintained top spot in both UEFA Women’s Champions League Group D and the Barclays Women’s Super League table.
Indeed, Hemp was the first City player to get her name on the scoresheet in October, doing so in a 2-0 win over West Ham United at the Joie Stadium.
Picking up play from a Mary Fowler pass and cleverly feinting onto her left foot, the England international curled home our opener in a hard-fought win.
She might not have grabbed a goal or assist three days later against Barcelona, but the winger’s tireless display against the European champions was pivotal to our historic 2-0 victory.
Incredibly, Hemp’s six tackles against the Catalan side were the most across the entire Champions League matchweek.
Another assist, though, would follow that weekend against Liverpool as the Blues came from behind in dramatic fashion to snatch a 2-1 win at Anfield.
More clever play out wide from Hemp allowed her to set up Shaw with an inviting cross, which the Jamaican duly powered home for our equaliser on Merseyside.
She turned provider once again in a 3-2 triumph over St Polten the following week, before taking centre stage against Aston Villa at the Joie Stadium.
Having already found the net with an audacious lob over her head to draw us level against the Villans, the England international then cut the ball back to Jill Roord after a typically slaloming run, with the Dutch international firing home the winner.
Congratulations to Lauren on an incredible October and thank you to everyone who voted!
