He’d Be At Real Madrid If He Was Better At This – Former Leicester Man On Foxes Star | OneFootball

Former Leicester City winger Matt Piper believes Foxes star Wilfried Ndidi would be playing for Real Madrid if he was better with the ball at his feet.

The Nigerian defensive midfielder has been on Leicester’s books since 2017 when he joined them from Belgian side Genk.

Ndidi has played almost 300 games for the Premier League outfit and was an important part of the team early this season, but a hamstring injury out of action since mid-December.

Now he has come back from the injury and Piper feels the defensive midfielder is a monster when he is on the top of his game.

The ex-Foxes man believes that if Ndidi’s on-the-ball ability was superior, he would be on the books at the Bernabeu with Real Madrid.

“He is a monster when he is at the top of his game”, Piper said on When You’re Smiling about Ndidi.

“It was four, five seasons ago maybe, I think he was one of the best in the league.

“The areas his game falls down a little bit, is with the ball at his feet and sort of playing forward, in the tight areas, his range of passing.

“Otherwise he would be somewhere like Real Madrid.

“Honestly, that’s how good he is, when he is at the top of his game.”

The Foxes are currently third-bottom in the league and Ndidi will be looking to help them avoid relegation with his quality and leadership on the pitch.
