Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Saturday provided an update on the status of midfielder Dani Olmo.
This, of course, comes after the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital was forced to watch on from the sidelines over the course of the last week.
After Barcelona failed in efforts to register Olmo for the 2nd half of the season in time for the turn of the year, the 26-year-old found himself ineligible fo Barca’s fixtures against both Barbastro and Athletic Club.
The Blaugrana fared just fine without Olmo, marching on to the Last-16 of the Copa del Rey, as well as booking a Spanish Super Cup final meeting with arch rivals Real Madrid on Sunday.
With his midfield star having now been registered owing to an emergency intervention on the part of the CSD, the subject of Olmo’s readiness for tomorrow night’s Clásico was in turn put to boss Hansi Flick.
And the German tactician went on to assure:
‘“Olmo? Yes, Dani Olmo can play tomorrow. He’s ready.”
