Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick recently showcased his personal side once more, by way of a gesture to midfielder Marc Bernal.
Youngster Bernal, for his part, is of course sidelined long-term at present.
After a stellar opening to the campaign, which saw the 17-year-old establish himself as a key figure in Barcelona’s ranks in the middle of the park, Bernal was struck down by the most untimely of ACL tears.
The Spaniard was in turn forced under the knife earlier this month, facing up to a spell of close to 12 months out of action as a result.
Safe to say, then, that the last few weeks have likely proven of a difficult nature for Bernal on a personal level.
As alluded to above, aware of as much, manager Hansi Flick, in turn, recently paid a visit to the midfield gem in an effort to lift his spirits.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing Catalunya Ràdio, whilst Bernal was in hospital recovering from surgery, his headmaster was a surprise guest.
Flick is understood to have spent an extended time talking to the teenage sensation, a discussion which was greatly appreciated by Bernal himself.
Not only that, but the German tactician gifted his engine room talent a book, ‘that tells how to overcome difficult times’.
