Manchester City star Erling Haaland was impressed by Lamine Yamal’s performance against Inter and commented on social media: ‘This guy is incredible.’

Yamal helped Barcelona avoid defeat against Inter in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal on Wednesday.

The Spanish talent scored a goal in the first half and inspired all Barcelona’s attacks in a thrilling 3-3 win at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic.

Yamal even hit the woodwork twice, and his impressive performance sparked a reaction from Manchester City star Haaland on social media.

As reported by ESPN FC on X, formerly Twitter, Haaland wrote on Snapchat, ‘This guy is incredible,’ posting a picture of one of his shots against Inter goalkeeper Sommer last night.

Yamal, 17, has scored 15 goals and provided 24 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions this season.

Inter and Barcelona will meet for a second-leg semifinal at San Siro next week, on May 6.

“Yamal is perhaps the best winger in the world right now. At his age too, only 17, we give credit to the player and the incredible work they did with him at La Masia.

“Barcelona are such a strong team with remarkable players, it’s always good to measure yourself up against teams like this. After all, it is a Champions League semi-final. There were chances at both ends.”
