Gutierrez medical scheduled for Monday ahead of Napoli move | OneFootball

Miguel Gutierrez looks finally set to join Napoli, after weeks of intense speculation, as reports from Italy claim that the Spaniard has medical tests scheduled with the club for Monday.

According to what has been reported by the Corriere dello Sport, the Girona left-back is set to arrive at the Villa Stuart medical clinic tomorrow to undergo his examination before he completes a much-anticipated move to join Antonio Conte in Naples.

After his medical tests are complete, Napoli will confirm and announce the deal; the Neapolitans hoping to have the deal wrapped up in time for Gutierrez to be available for their Serie A opener against Sassuolo on Saturday afternoon.

Napoli have had an offer accepted of €18 million plus an additional €1 million in bonuses by the Catalan side, with the final amendments to the deal the reason behind the recent stalling in progress.

However, with all the technicalities now ironed out, Gutierrez can undergo his medical and join up with his new teammates in time to help the club defend their Scudetto.
