Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli insists there ‘are no negotiations’ with Manchester City for Andrea Cambiaso and they are ‘relaxed’ about the Randal Kolo Muani delay from PSG.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 17.00 GMT.

The Bianconeri are hoping to do considerably better than when they faced Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final on January 3 in Riyadh.

Though Kenan Yildiz had put them in front with a scorching finish, a Christian Pulisic penalty and deflected Yunus Musah cross off Federico Gatti turned it around, the Rossoneri winning 2-1 on the night and going on to beat Inter 3-2 to lift the trophy too.

“In all honesty, we are not satisfied with our current position and want to do better, even with all the difficulties we went through taken into account,” Giuntoli told DAZN.

“The victory is the most important thing, so right now we would take that even with a bad performance, but naturally when you have many young players who are developing then you need to evaluate all of it.”

Juventus had hoped to include Kolo Muani as part of the squad for this evening’s big match, but although he passed his medical, the transfer could not be completed yet because Paris Saint-Germain have already hit the limit on players out on loan.

“There was some red tape, but he will sign over the week. We are relaxed.”

Dusan Vlahovic is on the bench this evening against Milan, so is there truth to the report that Thiago Motta would’ve started Kolo Muani tonight?

“I know that Vlahovic only had one training session this week, so regardless of who was available today, he would not have started the match.”

However, when Giuntoli was asked if there was a price-tag on the Italy international, his response was surprising.

“There are no negotiations right now, in all honesty. We want to bring players in to cover certain areas hit by long-term injuries and are not thinking about sales. No offer has arrived, if it does, then we will evaluate it.”
