La Liga outfit Girona have on Tuesday evening announced an altogether considerable setback on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that attacker Bojan Miovski is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Girona are of course set to return to action in short order.
Fresh off being condemned to a three-goal defeat at the hands of one of Europe’s leading clubs in Real Madrid over the weekend, the Catalans have made the trip for a daunting meeting with another, in the form of Liverpool.
A short time ago, the XI of players selected by Míchel for the Anfield matchup was announced.
And notably absent from not only as much, but Girona’s matchday squad entirely, was the aforementioned Bojan Miovski.
The Blanquivermells have since provided an explanation for the omission, though.
And the news is of an altogether disappointing nature for all associated with the club, amid confirmation that Miovski is set for a lengthy spell out of action with an ankle injury:
‘MEDICAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Bojan Miovski has suffered a third-degree sprain to his right ankle. Approximate downtime: 6-8 weeks.’
