Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi appeared on DAZN prior to the team’s league fixture against Parma on Sunday afternoon.
The Frenchman addressed the club’s vision, Paulo Dybala’s future, and the importance of finishing the year on a strong note.
“We must work for the future, but today’s match will not change our strategy,” Ghisolfi said. “What we need to see today is a team playing with intensity and enthusiasm.”
He was also asked about the future of star-man Paulo Dybala, who’s been the subject of rampant transfer speculation in recent weeks.
“At the moment, there are no contacts with other clubs,” he admitted.
“Dybala is very important for Roma. He’s playing today, and I hope he has a great match. The most important thing is the team and the performance on the field.”
Finally, Ghisolfi addressed the need for the team to turnaround their horrific form if the club aim to appoint a high-quality manager in the summer.
“Yes. Right now, the most important coach is Ranieri—he’s doing an incredible job,” emphasized Ghisolfi.
“We want to make the right choices, and to attract the best, we must demonstrate that we are building something stable and coherent. Our sporting project is very clear, and it runs in parallel with the stadium project.”
Adding, “It’s an ambitious plan, and we’re working to show that Roma is heading in the right direction.”
