Yann-Aurel Bisseck, Inter's new defender, was born in Cologne on 29 November 2000, the city where his passion for football started as a youngster. Coming through the youth ranks at FC Köln, he made his Bundesliga debut in 2017.
After spells at Holstein Kiel, Roda Kerkrade and Vitoria Guimaraes, Bisseck moved to Aarhus. In Denmark, Yann's career took off: in two seasons he collected 68 appearances in total, becoming a mainstay in the Aarhus backline. During that time, he also made his Germany Under-21 debut and took part in this year's European Champiionships held over June and July.
Bisseck is the tenth German in Inter's history, who have more often than not produced big results and great satisfaction for Nerazzurri sides. Every player, though, are examples to follow, with defenders Lucio and Zanetti among those most inspirational for Yann. He also considers Milito one of the best strikers he has ever seen play.
Yann has had many nicknames over the years, but the one that he is most known for is Biz, an abbreviation of the word business and also his surname, Bisseck. It's a sign of the young defender's huge ambition.
Since when he can remember, Bisseck has always played football. It is a passion that was passed onto him through his parents, and has been with him his whole life.
Bisseck is a modern defender who loves the ball at his feet. One of his best attributes is his character, that has allowed him to constantly get better and develop. In general, Yann is a physical and very alert defender.
If he hadn't become a footballer, Bisseck would probably have been a cardiologist. Yann has always been interested in medicine and before becoming a professional player at 16, he had started to study to become a doctor.
Yann made his first team debut for FC Köln on 26 November 2017 at the age of 16 years, eleven months and 28 days old, in a game against Hertha Berlin, becoming the Bundesliga's youngest-ever German to play in the league.
Yann has collected eight caps for the Under-21 side, scoring one goal - during the Euros held this summer. Bisseck is also the captain of the young German team.
Last season, Bisseck grabbed five goals for Aarhus in all competitions. One of these was a right-footed worldie from distance, that sealed victory for Aarhus against Lyngby in the Danish league.
Yann is a huge fan of sport and follows several different competitions. In particolar, he is a fan of the Philadelphia 76ers, an NBA franchise where his favourite player, Joel Embiid, plays. Embiid is also a Cameroonian, just like Yann's parents, and the pivot of Philadelphia has become a global social media star thanks to his hashtag #TrustTheProcess, one that Bisseck uses in all his posts.
When he isn't training and playing on the pitch, Bisseck loves to play video games: Yann has said that when he plays war and strategy videogames with his friends, he is usually unbeatable.
