Defender Yann Bisseck says that he is “optimistic” Inter Milan can go through against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The 24-year-old gave his thoughts to German outlet Kicker, via FCIner1908, ahead of tomorrow’s quarterfinal first leg.
Inter Milan take on Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals this month.
The Nerazzurri are a little over 24 hours away from what could be a season-defining match for them. They play the first leg of the quarterfinal tie at the Allianz Arena tomorrow.
Bayern will certainly be among the most formidable teams that Inter face all season. Maybe even the very strongest.
And over two legs, getting the better of the German league leaders will be a monstrous task for Inter.
But the Nerazzurri are also top of their own domestic league.
And in the Champions League, Inter have had a hugely impressive run.
Inter qualified directly for the round of sixteen, something Bayern did not do. And so far in the competition, they have conceded only two goals over ten matches.

Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck noted that “We’ll be up against a very organized team.”
“We’re a team that has no problem not having the ball,” he added.
“Even though normally we want to have possession.”
Bisseck noted that “we never want to concede a goal.”
“Even when we’re already 3-0 up.”
“And when we do have the ball, we have phenomenal players in midfield and in attack,” the Inter defender noted.
Bisseck made clear that “I’d say that it will not be an easy match for either team.”
But the 24-year-old also said that “I’m optimistic that we can make it through to the next round.”
