Genoa’s Belgian: Koni De Winter attracts interest from Serie A giants | OneFootball

According to Gianluca DiMarzio, Genoa’s Belgian defender, Koni De Winter (22), has attracted the attention of Inter Milan as well as a number of Premier League clubs.

Inter have been moving for some time to try and plan for the next transfer market. In order to boost their defence, the club have reportedly made an inquiry for Genoa centre-back De Winter.

DiMarzio has described the formative transfer, “An operation that is only in its early stages and is still far from taking hold.”

The Italian journalist continued: “Several Premier League clubs have also made moves for the former Juventus player, asking the Serie A club for information.”

De Winter is believed to be a solid acquisition ahead of Inter’s involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup. The young defender has been at Genoa since the club decided to make a loan move from Juventus permanent in the summer of 2024.

Earlier that same year, on 23 March, De Winter debuted for the Belgian senior squad in a friendly match against the Republic of Ireland. He has two caps for De Rode Duivels.
