In celebration of Mother’s Day, the AC Milan players will wear their maiden names in the game against Bologna on Friday next week.

As we also saw against Cagliari at the end of last season, May 10 to be specific, the Milan players will have their mothers’ surnames on the back of the shirts against Bologna next week. It’s a way for the Rossoneri to highlight Mother’s Day, which is on May 11 in Italy.

This was confirmed in today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), stating that Bologna will join the initiative as well. Once again, we will get to see the likes of Christian Pulisic with Harlow on the back, Tijjani Reijnders with Lekatompessy and Rafael Leao with… Conceicao.

When it happened last time, Conceicao had merely been mentioned as an option for the Milan bench and now, he’s coaching the team. It could make for some fantastic photos during the game, with the manager looking like a father figure for the winger.

In any case, it will be a very important game as Milan and Bologna will battle it out in the Coppa Italia final the week after, getting a feel for each other in the league game.
