Gavi’s message to Barcelona teammate Koundé after mistake vs Celta Vigo | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi sent some advice the way of teammates Jules Koundé, on the back of the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo.

The name of defender Koundé of course took its place front and centre in the Spanish media headlines late last night.

Unfortunately for the Frenchman, however, this came for less than positive reasons.

Amid an all-round underwhelming individual display, Koundé was responsible for a costly late mistake, which ultimately opened the door for Celta Vigo to kickstart their comeback.

On the back of the full-time whistle bringing a close to the 2-2 Balaídos stalemate, the aforementioned Gavi was in turn asked for his take on his teammate’s error.

And the Spanish starlet, fresh off his return to starting duties for the first time in a year, advised Koundé, in future instances, to simply clear his lines:

“The first goal was silly, you have to clear it there. But hey, it’s football, and you have to learn from this.”
