FC Barcelona have been focusing a lot on their goalkeeper position this summer so far. Despite already having senior players at the club, La Blaugrana decided to pursue a new goalkeeper. Now, as things stand, Barcelona have a goalkeeper dilemma to tend to.
With the arrival of Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia this summer, Barcelona now face a decision to understand where all of their current players in that position fit in the squad’s hierarchy. Unfortunately for a certain German player, things might just be looking a bit gloomy.

The case of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen now seems to be one where the club would not mind transferring him to another club. Considering his rather significant salary and the hunger of the other players in the team, Barcelona would certainly not be opposed to offloading the 33-year-old player.
Moreover, according to Mundo Deportivo, Turkish side Galatasaray has now shortlisted Ter Stegen as one of their main goalkeeping targets this summer. To replace the veteran Fernando Muslera, he is one of the three names on the shortlist.
Furthermore, as per the same report, the Turkish side’s offered salary has also been revealed. Galatasaray would reportedly be willing to offer Ter Stegen a net salary of €5 million per season, and the current Barcelona goalkeeper may have to consider it with an open mind.
Beyond just the arrival of Garcia, there is another factor that points towards very little playing time for Ter Stegen next season at Barcelona. That factor would be none other than the recent renewal of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, as he has now extended his stay for two more years.
Keeping that in mind, it becomes clear to see that Barcelona have placed a lot of trust in both Szczesny and Joan Garcia. Moreover, with the latter already training on his own as well, it seems the player is also committed to establishing a place for himself within the squad.
