Defence

David Raya made a memorable save the last time these two sides met and he will be in action this time too. As both Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are still out due to a knee injury, Jurrien Timber’s place at the right-back is secured.

The centre-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba remain intact as expected. Young Myles Lewis-Skelly should continue as the left full-back if Riccardo Calafiori fails to regain full fitness prior to the match.

No change in the midfield unit as Thomas Partey is again the deep-lying man with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard serving him from both sides on the pitch.

Attack

Raheem Sterling, who failed to impress Mikel Arteta, could lose his spot to Gabriel Martinelli in the attacking line. While Kai Havertz remains the automatic pick for the number nine role in the absence of Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard’s selection as the left winger is unquestionable.

Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Ethan Nwaneri (muscle), Ben White (knee) Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), and Gabriel Jesus (ACL) are confirmed absentees while the availability of Riccardo Calafiori is under the radar.
