Friedkin’s imminent takeover of Everton could also boost Roma’s transfer-market.

The American owners of the capital club are closing in on the acquisition of the majority stake in Everton Football Club.

Dan Friedkin has been granted a period of exclusivity to buy 95% of the English club from current owner Farhad Moshir.

This, in turn, could play a role in Roma’s transfer window.

As reported by English news portal Football Insider, Amadou Onana is a target for the Giallorossi who are looking to add a midfielder to their squad ahead of next season.

Onana is being eyed by several clubs and Everton’s asking price is estimated at £50 million as the 22-year-old’s contract is valid until 2027.

Friedkin’s takeover could favor Roma in the race for Onana – Daniele De Rossi is said to be a big admirer of his and would be delighted to have the Belgian midfielder at his orders.

The player’s entourage, however, are aware that Onana is bound to attract offers from many other top clubs and want to approach this summer carefully.
