Tammy Abraham arrived in the summer, and AC Milan have already seen signs of what the Englishman can do. However, they have been infrequent until this point.

Throughout the summer, Milan were looking to add another striker to their ranks, and Abraham led the list of targets for a prolonged period, but the Rossoneri did not make a move until the end of the window.

He made an immediate impact after signing, assisting Rafael Leao’s equaliser against Lazio before the previous international break, but since then he has not done much. Whilst he scored against Venezia, and has shown spirit, the contributions have not flowed.

It has not been an issue with a lack of chances – they have been regular – but perhaps a case of luck. Regardless of the issue, though, the Rossoneri need Abraham to refind himself on the scoresheet, and former Diavolo striker Joe Jordan has expressed his faith in the Englishman’s ability when speaking to Tuttosport (via Milan Press).

“He has to be waited for. Personally I like him a lot as a centre forward. He has important potential and we must not forget that he was out for a long time. It’s normal to have some ups and downs after a serious injury, but I have great confidence in him.

“He needs to play to regain 100 per cent of his best condition and to shine again, but he can definitely become an important player for Milan. Can he be a 15-20 goal player even in A league with Milan? I say yes.

“With a bit of patience he’ll be back to his top form, so I’ll be able to contribute and score a lot like he did in Italy at Roma before his injury.”
