As reported by Scott Burns in Daily Record, Kelty Hearts are preparing talks with Charlie Mulgrew to become their next manager.
The Scottish League One side are aiming to secure Mulgrew as their new head coach with Kelty Hearts’ current boss Michael Tidser set to depart for relegation-threatened Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.
Resigned to losing Tidser and his assistant Kevin MacDonald, Kelty Hearts have drawn up a list of targets to replace their successful management duo, and Charlie Mulgrew seems to be at the top of it.
Kelty Hearts currently sit third in League One, five points behind league leaders Arbroath after 19 matches played.

The former Celtic and Blackburn Rovers defender has spent time at Hamilton Academical U18s since retiring but is looking for that coaching opportunity in a first team environment to kickstart his aspired managerial career.
There had been rumours in the summer that Mulgrew would take up an academy role at Celtic. However, Jonny Hayes was the successful candidate joining Stephen McManus in the B team setup.
Should Mulgrew land the Kelty Hearts job, it will be interesting to see his backroom team given it’ll be his first senior management role in football.
