Former Atletico Madrid and Espanyol manager Quique Sanchez Flores has expressed his admiration for Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, making a striking comparison that places the youngster among the top wingers in world football.

“He [Yamal] would be at that level. He would probably be at the table with Suarez and Neymar. I’m telling you, he is,” he said as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

While he acknowledged that Messi stood apart as a generational talent, he believes Yamal would belong at the same table as Suarez and Neymar.

The former manager went further by stating that, in his view, the Barcelona youngster is already among the five best wingers in the world.

“There was one who ate apart, Leo, but at the table of these two, he could be. He is a player of a colossal level. For me, he is already among the five best wingers in the world,” he added.

Such high praise adds to the growing recognition of Yamal’s extraordinary rise. Despite his young age, he has consistently delivered impressive performances for Barcelona, proving himself as a key player under Hansi Flick.
