Hansi Flick’s Barcelona continue to march on with their recent 3-0 victory over Osasuna, but the German tactician remains cautious and grounded.
Despite the win, Flick acknowledged that the journey is still long and that his focus is firmly set on the upcoming clash against Girona.
“We’re really in a good moment,” Flick admitted. “But this is a long road. There’s still a lot to play for, and the next game against Girona is the most important.”
Flick’s remarks suggest he is trying to keep the team’s focus sharp despite the current positive form.

The win against Osasuna didn’t come without its setbacks, though. Dani Olmo’s injury has cast a shadow over the squad’s otherwise impressive performance. Flick expressed his concern over the player’s fitness, stating,
“He’s injured. There are a lot of games on this schedule, and he will miss some, and that’s bad news for us.”
The injury woes continue to be a frustration for the Barcelona boss as he aims to keep his team competitive across all fronts.
Pedri continues to shine under Flick’s guidance, and the manager did not hold back in his admiration for the midfielder.
“I always say it: Pedri is in great form, and so is the team. He’s played very well in midfield. When he plays, his control of the ball is incredible. For me, he’s the best, and he’s showing it in every game.”

Meanwhile, Gavi, who has been working his way back from injury, earned Flick’s praise for his contribution.
The young La Masia graduate was handed the captain’s armband by Pedri and delivered a strong performance.
“Gavi played a fantastic game,” Flick noted. “He’s a professional player, a La Masia player, he’s focused, and I’m happy with him because he spent time on the bench and started, and he had a good game.”
It is evident that Flick values Gavi’s adaptability and dedication. “I spoke to him and told him I was going to play him in a different position.
“He presses well. I’m happy. He’s been changing positions and doing very well. He’s always well-positioned, and he’s disciplined… I’m very satisfied,” said the manager.

Meanwhile, Flick remains hopeful about Frenkie de Jong’s fitness ahead of the Girona clash. When asked about the midfielder, Flick said,
“I hope he’s not injured. He’ll be able to play on Sunday, but we’ll have to wait and see.” De Jong’s availability would be a boost for Barcelona, especially given the congested fixture schedule.
The manager also took time to acknowledge Robert Lewandowski’s contribution, but he kept the emphasis on the collective effort rather than individual accolades.
“The most important thing is the team. We fight for every title. We’re playing to win three titles. If the team is doing well, the players are doing well individually.”

Another player earning Flick’s commendation is Szczesny, who has impressed his manager with his calmness and focus.
“He’s a very experienced player, and his personality is a great fit for the team. He’s very calm. He’s very focused. It’s great to have him.”
It’s clear that Flick values Szczesny’s presence as an important part of his plans.
Flick’s approach remains measured and calculated. He is willing to praise his players when deserved but isn’t shying away from acknowledging the difficulties they face.
