Following the conclusion of the final round of the new-look Champions League, attention now turns to a blockbuster weekend in Serie A and here are five reasons to catch the action.

Derby della Madonnina

Headlining the bill is Sunday night's San Siro showdown between city rivals Milan and Inter.

A mammoth 16 points separate the teams in the table ahead of kick-off, although Milan have won both the previous meetings between the sides this season, in Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana final earlier this month.

Which, as always, makes this an exciting and unpredictable contest - arguably the most showpiece occasion Italian football has to offer.

Adding an interesting flavour, decorated Manchester City loanee is in line to make his Rossoneri debut.

Roma-Napoli's striker showdown

The Derby del Sole, which translates as the Derby of the Sun, also offers an interesting showdown between Roma and Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico.

Coming into the contest, Antonio Conte's side sit top of the table, while Roma's struggles this season mean they come into it in ninth position, although there has been an upturn in form recently, seeing them go six games unbeaten - including a derby win over Lazio.

It will also be an intriguing battle of the strikers. Artem Dovbyk has been involved in more goals than any other Serie A player over the last six matchdays with six and has also netted in three straight games as he looks to become the first Romanista since Henrikh Mkhitaryan four years ago to score in four-in-a-row.

A familiar face will be threatening the Giallorossi at the other end as they come up against former player Romelu Lukaku, in line to make his 150th Serie A appearance and looking for his 80th goal. Only eight men have more in the same amount of games during the three points for a win era.

Can Kolo Muani rescue Juventus?

Juventus have flattered to deceive during Thiago Motta's first season at the helm but their penchant for draws which kept them unbeaten prevented the criticism from getting too out of hand.

Until last week.

Defeat to Napoli brought that run to an end, although there was a positive to be found in new signing Randal Kolo Muani wasting little time in finding the net.

Dušan Vlahović has been the object of much ire from fans and the Kolo Muani's loan arrival from PSG should ease some of the Serbian's burden and potentially get them firing in front of goal and revive their fortunes.

If the Frenchman finds the net again here, he would be just the second Juventus player in the three points per win era to score in each of his first two Serie A games - after Carlos Tevez 12 years ago.

Italy's underrated striking star

Not enough people are talking about Udinese forward Lorenzo Lucca.

The 24-year-old did deservedly win his first cap for Italy in October last year and it is unlikely to be his last either.

Since the start of last season, which was his maiden campaign in the top flight, he has found the net 16 times - with none of those goals coming from the penalty spot.

Of all players who have scored over the past two campaigns without any coming from a penalty, only Marcus Thuram has scored more than Lucca.

Scotland's fitting tribute

Last weekend, Torino paid a perfect tribute to former striker, the legendary Scotsman Denis Law in the wake of his passing.

He remains the only player to represent the Granata who has won the Ballon d'Or award.

And last time out, Torino's current Scottish striker Ché Adams marked the occasion poignantly with a brace in a 2-0 win over Cagliari.

He will be out to continue that form against much tricker opposition in Atalanta and chase down Law's record of 10 goals in a Serie A season, which is a record for a Scottish player, with Adams currently second in the all-time rankings with seven as things stand.
