A busy week is just beginning for Guadalajara, as this Wednesday they will play their last game of the Leagues Cup group stage against Cincinnati, and then travel to La Comarca to face Santos in the match corresponding to Matchday 4 of the 2025 Apertura. With such a busy schedule and the Rebaño's most recent match, it is time to take stock of how the four new Rojiblancos players have performed so far this season.
In the match against Charlotte alone, the presence of Guadalajara's new players was decisive, as Richard Ledezma and Bryan González scored goals. On the other hand, Diego Campillo and Efraín Álvarez had very good minutes in the roles assigned to them, so without further ado, let's analyze in detail how their minutes have been with the Rebaño Sagrado jersey.
Richard Ledezma
The former PSV player has been a starter in all four of Guadalajara's games, proving his worth within Gabriel Milito's team. He has been used as a right-back and also as an inside midfielder, always contributing to Chiverío's style of play.
He made his debut as a Rojiblanco goalscorer in the match against Charlotte, with a left-footed shot from the edge of the box. In total, Ledezma has accumulated 273 minutes played between the two competitions, in which he has made a very good impression with and without the ball.
Bryan González
El Cotorro also made his presence felt against Charlotte, showcasing one of his greatest strengths. Even though he is a wingback, the left-footed player is very good at getting into the box, and he made that clear with his goal, attacking diagonally and finishing off a cross from Alan Mozo with a diving header.
González has been used on the left wing, giving the team width and constantly breaking into space to create threats behind the defensive line. Like Richard, he has started in the Rebaño's first four games and has played 325 minutes on the pitch.
Efraín Álvarez
Guadalajara's number 10 has made a very good impression on the field, showing off his dangerous left foot and his exceptional vision of the game. Efraín has played as an inside forward close to the box, but he has also been involved at times as an organizing midfielder, taking the ball and directing the Rojiblancos' attacks.
His presence has already made a difference, as he provided the assist for the goal that gave Chivas the three points against Atlético San Luis. The left-footed player has played 210 minutes for Guadalajara and is increasingly adapting to the style of play that Gabriel Milito is trying to implement.
Diego Campillo
Another player who has also had some very good minutes is the Durango native. He has been used in different roles, depending on the team's needs. Campillo has already played as a stopper in the three-man defense, as well as a sweeper, often commanding Guadalajara's attacks, and recently against Charlotte, he completed the game as a midfielder.
He has accumulated 174 minutes played, spread across the four matches of the semester. It has also become clear that Gabriel Milito trusts him and that he can perform different tasks within the same match.
