Mamadou Kaly Sène is in sensational form at the start of the 2025-2026 season with FC Lausanne-Sport. The Senegalese forward has found the back of the net in each of the first three rounds of the Swiss Super League, spearheading Lausanne’s attack with remarkable consistency.

Mamadou Kaly Sène has kicked off this new campaign with lethal efficiency in front of goal. At just 24 years old, he is already asserting himself as Lausanne’s key attacking asset at the dawn of this season.

Swiss Super League: 3 goals in 3 matches

The Senegalese striker hit the ground running in the domestic championship. On opening day, July 27, he opened his account against Winterthur (3-2) and helped secure Lausanne’s first win of the 2025/26 Swiss Super League campaign.

The Dakar native continued his streak in the second round against Thun on August 3, 2025, where he scored Lausanne-Sport’s only goal. Unfortunately, the Vaudois suffered a 2-1 defeat. Then, on Matchday 3 against Zurich this Sunday, August 10, Kaly Sène found the net once again. The Senegalese forward stood out as his club’s lone scorer, though Lausanne was unable to avoid another 2-1 loss.

Europa Conference League Qualifiers: 3 goals in 3 matches

Alongside his domestic exploits, the Senegalese striker is also shining on the European stage. In the second leg of the second qualifying round against Vardar Skopje, he bagged a brace (33rd and 45+2 minutes). FC Lausanne-Sport triumphed 5-0 and advanced to the semi-finals of the qualifiers.

The Lausanne marksman struck again in the third qualifying round against Astana in Kazakhstan. His goal in the 42nd minute contributed to his team’s 3-1 away victory.

With these numbers, Lausanne’s management can be proud to have retained their star striker despite summer interest from elsewhere. In the 2024-2025 season, Mamadou Kaly Sène featured in 35 matches across all competitions for FC Lausanne-Sport, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. The season before (2023/24), the Senegalese international tallied 12 goals and 3 assists in the Swiss Super League from 36 appearances.
