Father Of Inter Milan Target Nico Paz: “He Would Definitely Be Interested In Staying At Como” | OneFootball

Amidst interest from Inter Milan in the upcoming summer transfer window, the father of Nico Paz has revealed that his son would be happy to remain at Como.

The Argentina international joined Como from Real Madrid last summer and has enjoyed a fine debut season, leading to speculation that the La Liga club will exercise a buyback option, or Inter will make a move to bring him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

However, Como are also hoping to hold onto him for at least another year and in an interview with La Provincia, and as reported by FCInter1908.it, father Pablo insisted that his son would not be against another campaign there.

He also revealed that there was plenty of demand for his son last summer, but the influence of coach Cesc Fabregas was a key factor in choosing Como.

“There were at least four other alternatives, including Fiorentina and Stuttgart,” former Argentina international Pablo Paz claimed.

“But we really liked the Como project, and then of course Fabregas had an important influence because he spoke to us, he explained to us that Nico would have had the chance to play the way he likes. Talking to Cesc was important.

“I think that if you ask Nico what he would like to do, he would definitely like to stay another year here, because he is very happy, and with Fabregas it is like being on a university master’s degree course.

“He likes everything here, the team, the group, the people. I would agree too. Of course, there are higher interests at stake, but another year here would be ok,” he claimed.

Paz has made 27 appearances for Como, scoring six goals and earning a debut with the Argentina national team.
