Paris Saint-Germain was keen on Dean Huijsen last summer as they saw a need to strengthen their defense. Nonetheless, the Spanish center-back ultimately joined AFC Bournemouth. If PSG return for him, they won’t be alone in the pursuit.
Even after adding Willian Pacho, PSG are still likely to target another central defender in the upcoming transfer window. With Milan Skriniar potentially leaving, they could focus on finding another young, high-potential option.
A previous report from CaughtOffside revealed that several top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG, have been closely tracking the 20-year-old.
Huijsen has quickly built his reputation in the Premier League and already ranks among Europe’s top young defenders. If PSG make another attempt, they’ll face tough competition — and likely a significant price tag.
Meanwhile, GIVE ME SPORT reported on Tuesday that Bournemouth expect Huijsen’s £50 million release clause to be triggered this summer. If he stays in the Premier League, Liverpool emerge as the frontrunner.

In his newsletter for GIVE ME SPORT, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the latest on Huijsen, noting that a decision from the player could be coming soon.
“Yes, Premier League clubs want the deal to be done by the end of May,” Romano wrote. “I think it will be a crucial month.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid seemed to have dropped out of the race, a new report from Marca suggests they’re still interested in signing the Bournemouth defender this summer.
On Wednesday, TEAMtalk provided an update, noting that the transfer race currently appears to be a two-team battle between Chelsea and Liverpool.
The report adds that Chelsea has offered Huijsen a more appealing financial package. Moreover, there’s confidence at Stamford Bridge that he will choose Enzo Maresca’s side. Liverpool is still in the mix, but the defender has shown interest in Chelsea’s project.
