Former Roma and Milan manager Fabio Capello previewed the keys to the game on Sunday between the two clubs.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Capello said, “It will not be an easy match for both teams.”
“Milan must win to stay in the Champions League zone, a different result would be hard to digest. Of course, having Pulisic would have been different…”
“Roma, on the other hand, seem to be getting back on their feet, especially now that Dybala is raising the bar.”
“Ranieri will have time until the end to work and give dignity to the team, which he is already doing very well, with great desire. Claudio seems very determined to me.”
“Fonseca instead must take Milan at least to the Champions League. It is a heavy commitment, of course, but Milan is a club that requires significant efforts.”
“Roma’s midfield? Paredes is growing thanks to the trust that Ranieri has given him back, lately I have seen him do good things. But with Koné it seems to me that he still has to find himself, blend in perfectly.”
“I think Milan should be very careful with free kicks and corners because Roma is strong on those, while Milan has some problems in defending them. So Fonseca has to fix these things here and then in the offensive phase he will have to look for more speed and fewer lateral passes.”
