More and more sources are reporting that Fikayo Tomori is a concrete target for Juventus ahead of the January transfer window.
Tomori established himself as a key part of the Milan side the won the Scudetto in 2021-22 and was a virtually immovable member of that team, but he has struggled to hit the same high levels consistently since.
He has lost his starting spot under Paulo Fonseca who seems to prefer Malick Thiaw and Matteo Gabbia. This has led to suggestions of a potential sale, and it is a domestic rival that seem to be interested above all.
According to what is being reported by Fabrizio Romano, Juventus head coach Thiago Motta considers Tomori as ‘one of his favourite options’ for the January window. They are pushing to recruit a centre-back, given the injuries in the department.
There have been ‘no direct talks between the clubs yet’ and Milan would only let Tomori leave for an ‘important proposal’, which certainly suggests that they would demand a permanent deal.
Matteo Moretto has added that Juve consider Tomori ‘one of the most interesting profiles to strengthen the defence’. The English defender is an ‘explicit request from Motta’.
Milan’s position is form: Tomori is considered an important player and his asking price is around €30m.
