Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting transfer update on an in-form striker who’s been on the list of top clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea.
It’s been a superb season for Hugo Ekitike, who is currently on a run of 19 goals and seven assists in 37 games in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ekitike’s fine form has attracted interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, as CaughtOffside recently revealed, and now it seems Romano is fully expecting the 22-year-old to be on the move this summer.
See below as Romano posted on X about Ekitike attracting interest from the Premier League, with unnamed clubs already making calls about the Frenchman…

Ekitike has done well to turn his career around after previously struggling in a spell at Paris Saint-Germain, so it will be interesting to see if he’s now ready for another big move.
Ekitike certainly looks like he makes sense as a target for Arsenal right now as they look to bring in more fire-power up front.

It’s been a frustrating season for the Gunners, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus both picking up serious injuries.
But even before that, Mikel Arteta’s side weren’t really scoring enough goals as they lack someone who can fire in 25+ goals a season on a consistent basis.
Ekitike looks like he could be that player, while Chelsea would also surely benefit from bringing him in as an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson.
Although Jackson has shown moments of real promise, he doesn’t look like he’s quite living up to his potential and it might be time for the Blues to try something different.
Eintracht will surely be keen to keep Ekitike, but this looks like it will be a saga to watch in the weeks and months ahead.
