An exclusive report has claimed that Chelsea are confident of landing one of their new transfer targets over Tottenham in the summer.
Really, The Blues should be looking to prioritise a new striker after failing to sign one in January. But a new dominant centre back is also needed in my opinion. More on that in a sec…
Chelsea have gone through the last five transfer windows and failed to sign a true and proven number 9. Nicolas Jackson for me will forever be more of a wide forward than a centre forward, and Marc Guiu looks decent but is also still very young and raw. Christopher Nkunku is NOT a striker.
The Blues were linked with a host of new strikers in the January transfer window, with Liam Delap of Ipswich Town being the most heavily linked. They also looked at names such as Benjamin Sesko. However, they did not sign a new striker, something they have consistently failed to do in five transfer windows.
Now this might be something they end up regretting because both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu are doubts for the next match and could both now be carrying injuries.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham were heavily linked with wanting to sign Crystal Palace centre back Marc Guehi in the January window, but he ended up staying.
Now, according to GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea are confident of landing the England international over Tottenham inn the summer window as they are expected to go back in for him.
Per the report, Guehi’s contract is running down, and Chelsea believe that Guehi is keen on re-joining the club, and crucially, that he would choose them over Tottenham.
Chelsea ‘will revisit this scenario’ at the end of the season.
