It was revealed by Esteemed Kompany sources at the beginning of March that City’s number-one keeper, Ederson, was likely to leave the club this summer. Since that moment every indication is that the Brazilian international will find a new club this summer. Now it has further been revealed by Esteemed Kompany sources that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad are pushing hard to sign Ederson. But Pep Guardiola could be willing to keep Ederson at the club it has further been revealed.
Esteemed Kompany sources have revealed that Al-Ittihad is prepared to pay between €22-25 million to sign Ederson this summer. Furthermore, it has also been revealed that the Saudi Pro League club are prepared to offer City’s number-one keeper a lucrative three-year deal to sign for them. Esteemed Kompany sources have also learned that there are other Saudi Pro League clubs eager to sign Ederson. Lastly, Esteemed Kompany has also learned that Pep Guardiola could be eager to retain Ederson’s services for next season.
Ederson has been a major contributor to Manchester City ever since he arrived at the club. He will likely go down as Manchester City’s greatest-ever goalkeeper based on his contribution to the club. But perhaps this summer may be the right time for him to depart Manchester City.
Manchester City are set to continue their rebuild this summer. If Ederson leaves they will be in the market for a new number-one keeper. But looking at Ederson’s 24/25 season perhaps the time is now for him to leave the club. He has battled injury issues throughout the season. This has seen his form fluctuate. He only recently returned from injury for City’s 1-win over Wolves. Maybe the writing is on the wall for Ederson. A lucrative offer from Al-Ittihad, or any other Saudi Pro League club may not come around again this summer. So everything could be lining up for Ederson to get a big money move to play out the final stages of his career.
Understandably, Pep Guardiola may want to keep Ederson at the club for next season. Ederson is crucial to Manchester City’s play. But this summer may be the ideal time for the Brazilian international to leave City based on Al-Ittihad’s offer and what it could mean for the Brazilian international.
