Ex-Roma president Rosella Sensi praises Friedkin ownership, talks De Rossi’s future at the club | OneFootball

Former Roma president Rosella Sensi weighed in on the Friedkin’s ownership of the capital club.

In an interview with La Stampa, Sensi praised the Friedkins for their work since their takeover in 2020 and discussed the decision to appoint Daniele De Rossi as the long-term head coach of the Giallorossi.

“I know what they said at the beginning, but Daniele has proven to be an excellent coach. Maybe someone didn’t know him enough,” Sensi said of the legendary captain whom she knew from his early years at the club.

“I think Roma are a lucky team. Because it’s in the middle. It combines both worlds. Even if the ownership is foreign, it is well defined. There is someone – now – who shows up to the stadium, works at Trigoria and is active within the local spirit of the club.”

“The Friedkin family is present and has done a great job of running the club,” concluded Sensi.
