Wingback Juan Cuadrado is hoping that he can still have his say for Inter Milan in the run-in of the Serie A season.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Cuadrado has made a total of one start for Inter this season.

That came in the Champions League. The Colombian started in Inter’s final group stage match against Real Sociedad.

And it was that match that more or less confirmed that the veteran former Juventus, Chelsea, and Fiorentina wingback would have to miss a big chunk of the rest of the season.

Not long after, Cuadrado underwent tendon surgery.

This was to correct a problem that the 35-year-old had been dealing with all through the first half of the campaign.

Cuadrado had tried to recover without surgery. But the match against La Real confirmed that the issue would not go away on its own.

It has therefore been a fairly disappointing season for Cuadrado individually.

Inter had signed the Colombian veteran hoping that his undeniable quality could bolster the team’s depth at wingback and give them a different option on the flanks.

Cuadrado did prove this to an extend when he did play.

There were some sparkling moments, and the Colombian assisted goals against the likes of Fiornetina and Napoli.

But Cuadrado has so far played just 262 minutes of football in the league.

The ex-Juventus man will be keen to add to that, however.

Cuadrado is finally back in the squad after his lengthy post-surgery recovery period.

And the 35-year-old has every ambition of showing Inter why they signed him.

It may be in the context of a title race that Inter have already won. But Cuadrado still feels that he can add something to his Nerazzurri legacy.
