Everton will hope Dwight McNeil has recovered from the knee issue that saw him miss last weekend’s draw at Arsenal. Should the winger remain out, either Jack Harrison or Jesper Lindstrom will come into the side.
On-loan forward Armando Broja is ineligible to face his parent club, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin likely to lead the line ahead of Beto. The 27-year-old is aiming to end a run of 11 league games without a goal, having not scored since the defeat at Aston Villa in September.
James Garner was this week spotted back in training. The midfielder has been out since early October with a back injury. Tim Iroegbunam is also still out through injury.
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Mangala, Gueye, Ndiaye, Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin.
Everton host Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday 22nd December 2024. Kick-off at Goodison Park is 14:00 GMT.
Everton vs Chelsea will not be televised in the United Kingdom.
