Everton are considering reigniting their interest in Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall according to reports.

The Blues are braced for another busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players to fund their business.

Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Everton could move for Dewsbury-Hall

A number of players will leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with some potentially moving on after just one season at the club.

Dewsbury-Hall falls into that category despite only arriving last summer in a deal worth £30m from Leicester City.

The 26-year-old was linked with a January move to Everton and TEAMtalk have reported the Toffees could look to reignite their interest in the midfielder.

The report states Everton have kept tabs on Dewsbury-Hall over the second half of the season and are considering a new approach, with the Blues said to be open to selling.

TEAMtalk add Dewsbury-Hall is valued at Chelsea and has a good relationship with Maresca, with West Ham and Brighton interested, but the Blues won’t sell on the cheap and would likely demand £30m.

First season struggles

Dewsbury-Hall has started just two Premier League games this season, and has made 27 appearances in all competitions.

The Englishman has fared better in the Conference League where he’s started nine of Chelsea’s ten games in the competition, and could be in line to start against Swedish side Djurgården in the first leg of the semi final on Thursday night.

Given the competition for places in midfield it was always going to be difficult for Dewsbury-Hall to nail down a regular position in the first team and the signing didn’t seem to make much sense at the time.

Joe Cole believes the former Leicester man is better than people think, but barring a really strong end to the campaign it’s hard to imagine him being at Stamford Bridge next season.
