According to reports, David Moyes' Everton are set to reignite their long-standing interest in West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows
Everton are intent on rekindling their interest in West Bromwich Albion's Tom Fellows as they look to secure an eight-figure deal for the services of the exciting winger this summer.
According to a recent report published by TEAMtalk on Thursday afternoon, Everton plan on reviving their pursuit of Fellows after notably courting the winger back in the January transfer window.
Baggies academy product Fellows has not been short of interest over the last twelve months, having first broken into the senior setup at the Hawthorns under Carlos Corberan in the 2023/24 season.
As per reports, Everton failed to successfully agree a fee with West Brom on the previous window's final day and Fellows remained with the Baggies for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign, although he could be set to move on this summer after his side missed out on a second successive play-off finish.
Fellows enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Championship by scoring four times and assisting on 14 occasions, a creative return only matched by Portsmouth winger Josh Murphy.
However, a departure this summer now appears increasingly likely.
As reported by TEAMtalk, a £10 million deal for Fellows is "in the pipeline" as Everton prepare to ramp up their pursuit of the highly-rated wide-man once he returns from international duty with England U21's at this summer's European Championships in Slovakia.
It's said that the Baggies were reluctant to sanction a sale earlier this year in the hope of retaining Fellows to inspire promotion to the Premier League, although their stance has since changed, and they now intend to cash in and receive what will undoubtedly represent a handsome fee after succumbing to a late-season collapse in their top-six bid.
Fellows, of course, would be declared as full profit on the books, having come through the club's youth ranks, and the combination of his age, profile and output means that West Brom will receive a healthy cash windfall for his services if and when a sale is rubber-stamped.
According to the latest report, new head coach Ryan Mason is resigned to Fellows' departure and Everton are reportedly prioritising a deal for the tricky wide-man over Liverpool's Ben Doak, who has also been a long-standing target and spent a productive season on loan in the second-tier with Middlesbrough.
Although the writing now appears to be on the wall as far as a departure for Fellows is concerned - if fresh reports are to be believed, of course - West Brom must avoid sanctioning a sale which potentially undervalues the England U21 starlet.
As a homegrown domestic talent with more than 100 senior appearances and an impressive body of work at Championship level at the age of 21 in what remains a largely-inflated transfer market, Fellows is no doubt a significant financial asset.
Both his importance and potential need to be underlined with a hefty asking price, which, all things considered, should usurp the potential mark of just £10 million.
Many wingers at this level have earned top-flight moves for figures in excess of that, such as Jack Clarke and Jaden Philogene in recent times, and there is no reason why the Baggies should not be looking to hold a valuation in the region of £15 million at least.
