Espanyol closing on deal for Burnley star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Espanyol are close to tying up a deal for a member of the attacking ranks at English side Burnley.

That’s according to market insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Luca Koleosho as the player in question.

Versatile frontman Koleosho played his part this past season, as Burnley secured a fresh return to the Premier League courtesy of a 2nd-placed finish in the Championship.

All told, the Italian youth international racked up 28 league appearances, chipping in with a pair of goals along the way.

And as alluded to above, in the process, Koleosho evidently did enough to impress those behind the scenes at La Liga outfit Espanyol.

This comes amid confirmation that, after a fresh round of talks held with Burnley this week:

‘Espanyol are moving forward with Luca Koleosho. The two clubs are negotiating the final option, which is ultimately expected to be a loan.’
