Thomas Tuchel insists he will name a strong Three Lions side against Group K minnows in Barcelona before Senegal friendly
Decisions: Thomas Tuchel insists he will not take Andorra lightly as England continue their World Cup qualifying campaign
Thomas Tuchel says he will pick an “attacking lineup” against minnows Andorra on Saturday for a World Cup qualifier in which England are huge favourites.
The Three Lions play in Barcelona against the side currently ranked 173rd in the world by FIFA, the weakest opponents in Group K.
Chelsea captain Reece James is set to start for England, just as he did in their last match against Latvia in March, when his direct free-kick saw him open his goalscoring account at senior international level.
England will not have Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins available to them, though, after he withdrew from the squad “as a precaution due to a minor injury”, with no replacement called up.
Head coach Tuchel must decide how strong a lineup he wishes to name, with the opponents likely to be more routine than on Tuesday night when his side host Senegal in Nottingham - though that match is only a friendly.
Tuchel insisted on Friday night that England will not take the Andorra match for granted.
“It is a World Cup qualifier and we will not devalue it to an exhibition game,” he said. “It will be a very serious approach. It will be an offensive lineup and an attacking lineup.

“We anticipate a match where we have the majority of the ball. We are huge favourites. We want to be fully committed to a World Cup qualifier.
“It is on us to bring the attacking energy to the pitch.”
Tuchel could decide to select a more attacking player among his double pivot in midfield, with Curtis Jones and Conor Gallagher in the mix for that role.
Phil Foden is not part of the squad after he asked the Football Association (FA) to leave him out for these two matches.
Predicted England XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; James, Burn, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Jones; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane
