Subbed off injured in Sunday's 1-1 draw with 1. FC Union Berlin, Danish fullback Rasmus Kristensen will remain out for Eintracht Frankfurt for at least the next four competitive fixtures. On Monday evening, the Hessen-based club confirmed the news on Monday evening.

The 27-year-old is scheduled to undergo an MRI in order to determine a more precise layoff time. For the time being, Eintracht act on the assumption that Kristiensen will miss the upcoming Pokal fixture, two league matches, and next week's Europa League tie.

“I'm peeved I had already considered not starting him today,” SGE trainer Toppmöller remarked at his Sunday post-match presser, ”We knew that he had played in all the games for us and for the [Danish] national team. He definitely has a muscular injury and will be out for the time being.”

Kristensen joined Frankfurt on loan from Leeds over the summer. The 24-times-capped Danish international immediately became a regular in Dino Toppmöller's starting XI. He started all 12 competitive fixtures for the SGE, missing only the final five minutes of the UEL fixture against Victoria Pilsen; a match in which he scored.

When it comes to replacing Kristensen - whom the RheinMainAdler are rumored to wish to purchase permanently - Toppmöller doesn't possess many options. Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe can play the position, but has been working solely up top this season. Veteran German-American right back Timothy Chandler has logged only a handful of minutes over the past two seasons.
