Mo Dahoud talks about his playing style, why he chose to move to Eintracht, and how he is looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga and with his new team.

Mahmoud Dahoud on ...

...his first few days in Frankfurt: “I’m delighted to be here, and I’ve been made to feel very welcome. The first few training sessions have gone very well and been very positive. I’ve already been into the city. Life is really good in a big city like Frankfurt. I like the cafés here as well (laughs).”

...his transfer to Eintracht: “This is a big club with a great tradition in Germany and an incredible fan base. Eintracht have been playing in Europe a lot in recent years and have got a very good team. So when they made me an offer, I didn’t hesitate. I wanted to go back to Germany – I’m a Bundesliga kid at heart – so it’s great to be here and I can hardly wait to play in front of these fans.” ...his playing style: “What sets me apart is that I don’t back off from duels, I have a good technique, and I bring the intensity. I can run all day and keep myself busy in midfield.”

...his goals: “I want to help the team, get a lot of game time and take on responsibility. I’ll try to play to my strengths, fit in with the lads and communicate well, as well as having some fun out on the pitch and helping the younger players.” ...his career to date: “You can’t plan how your career will pan out. You have ups and downs, and you have to contend with injuries. Here at Eintracht now, I’m in a good place.”

...his upbringing: “I played a lot of football in North Rhine-Westphalia with my mates at the park and out in the fields. It’s where I grew up.”

...his previous coaches: “Every coach has been important for me. At the start of my career, Lucien Favre was absolutely crucial to me.”
