Borussia Dortmund have expressed their interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur forward Mikey Moore this summer (h/t BILD).

Die Borussen are prioritising a new winger following the departure of Jamie Gittens to Chelsea in a lucrative deal worth £52.5 million.

They want to invest in a low-cost option with huge potential, and Moore fits the criteria.

After standing out in the youth ranks, the 17-year-old had his breakthrough with Spurs last season, scoring his first senior goal in the Europa League game against IF Elfsborg.

Despite earning comparisons with Neymar, the English prospect’s development was impacted by fitness concerns in the second half of the campaign.

Dortmund want to continue the strategy of snapping up the best young talents and bringing them to the spotlight with their pursuit of Moore.

The Bundesliga giants are ready to spend up to €30 million for the new winger, while Spurs are only willing to loan Moore out with an option to buy.

Moore could be tempted to follow in the footsteps of his compatriots Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho and Gittens, who were big hits at Dortmund.

Moore’s game time could be limited this season, with Spurs pursuing Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.

Dortmund are accelerating the efforts to bolster their attack after losing the transfer battle of Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko to RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, they are also set to miss out on Freiburg’s Japanese winger Ritsu Doan, who has decided to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Niko Kovac’s side are planning to extend star forward Karim Adeyemi’s contract to fend off interest from European giants.

They have signed midfielder Jobe Bellingham and goalkeeper Patrick Drewes in this transfer window.
