PSG and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has revealed that he is “absolutely thrilled” with his nation’s decision to appoint Gennaro Gattuso as the new head coach.
Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport after his PSG side’s 2-0 win against MLS side Seattle Sounders in the Club World Cup on Monday, Donnarumma said “I’m absolutely thrilled – I’ve spoken to Gattuso a couple of times already. He’s really motivated, just like we are. Hopefully we can achieve great things together – I’m very happy to have him as our new coach.”

Donnarumma had a fantastic 2024-25 campaign, as he was named in the Champions League team of the season after helping the Parisien side lift the trophy. PSG defeated Inter in the final and the former Milan shot stopper kept a clean sheet as the Ligue 1 giants triumphed 5-0.
