Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly agreed personal terms on a move to Man City from PSG in the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper is poised to leave Paris after failing to agree a new contract with the club. Lucas Chevalier was signed from Lille as his replacement.
Donnarumma confirmed his exit after being left out of the matchday squad for their UEFA Super Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.
Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United had been linked with the Italy international, but City look set to capture his signature.
Donnarumma is “keen” on linking up with Pep Guardiola after he “agreed” on personal terms with the north west outfit, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Talks between Man City and PSG are now “underway” as they look to agree on a transfer fee, which will be below the £43.3 million (€50m) that the French side were initially demanding.
However, the move “still depends” on whether or not they can sell Ederson before the transfer window closes. The Brazilian goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, but the Turkish club are also reportedly considering signing Diogo Costa from FC Porto.
Ederson has been left out of the squad for Man City’s opening two league games and replaced by new arrival James Trafford. The 22-year-old re-joined the club from Burnley this summer in a £27m deal.
Trafford kept a clean sheet in their opening weekend 4-0 away win over Wolves, but endured a tough afternoon at home on Saturday as City lost 2-0 to Spurs.
