Paris Saint-Germain have been strengthening their ties with Portugal through sporting advisor Luis Campos, bringing in players like Vitinha, João Neves, and Gonçalo Ramos.
However, when the summer transfer window opens, Manchester United will look to outmaneuver PSG for a young talent both clubs have been tracking.
As Foot Mercato previously reported, PSG, along with Manchester City and United, have been closely monitoring 17-year-old Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon.
United’s interest stands out, especially considering manager Rúben Amorim’s former role at Sporting. The Athletic recently revealed that United plans to pursue Quenda this summer, with Amorim eager to reunite with the young talent.
The teenager is expected to be valued at around €40 million (£33.4 million), but there’s a new development in this saga: the new Manchester United manager is determined to secure this transfer.

According to a recent update from GiveMeSport, Quenda is set to join Amorim in Manchester, even if United don’t secure a spot in European football next season.
The Red Devils are currently 15th in the Premier League, with their only chance of qualifying for Europe likely hinging on winning either the FA Cup or Europa League.
A win in the FA Cup would secure a Europa League spot for next season, while winning the Europa League would earn a Champions League place.
Despite these uncertainties, the report adds that Quenda is already committed to the move and is willing to complete it, even if United misses out on European football next year.
