Chelsea are continuing to reject offers from both Lazio and Torino for midfielder Cesare Casadei according to reports in Italy.

The January window is now into the final two weeks, and so far the Blues have been quieter than expected, although this is usually the period when things start to pick up.

Chelsea have agreed a loan deal with Juventus for Renato Veiga for the remainder of the season, although that’s the only outgoing to date.

Chelsea continue to reject Casadei offers

The Blues have got a number of players they are looking to move on but the clock is ticking, with the likes of Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Casadei all still at the club.

It feels like Casadei has been close to leaving for a number of weeks but Chelsea are still yet to agree a deal for the 21-year-old, who joined from Inter Milan for an initial £12.6m in the summer of 2022.

Napoli had expressed an interest but weren’t prepared to meet Chelsea’s demands, whilst both Lazio and Torino want the midfielder.

Torino officials flew into London to try and agree a deal with Chelsea, but their latest offer still wasn’t enough to convince the club.

Di Marzio have now reported Chelsea are continuing to reject offers and there’s been no significant movement in negotiations.

The report adds the Blues haven’t accepted any of the offers and they continue to always ask for something more.

Chelsea are believed to want a significant sell on clause, but why they are playing hardball over a player who hasn’t started a Premier League game for the club seems strange.

Casadei ultimately hasn’t done enough during his time at Chelsea to suggest his value has significantly increased from when he was signed, and the Blues are better off taking slightly less than they want and ensuring they have a good sell on clause inserted.
