Inter are set to receive a pay-out from goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio’s impending move to Juventus, as the Old Lady have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Monza, according to numerous reports over the last 24 hours.

As per Sky Sport Italia, Calciomercato, transfer expert Matteo Moretto and others, Juventus have agreed to pay an upfront fee of €18m, plus a further €2m in potential add-ons.

Di Gregorio, who was a product of the Inter youth system, was sent out on a series of loan moves, including to Renate, Novara, Pordenone and Monza before completing a permanent move to the latter just before the summer of 2022.

According to Matteo Moretto, Inter negotiated for a 10% sell-on clause when Di Gregorio joined Monza in 2022.

That means that the Nerazzurri are set to receive an upfront sum of €1.8m, which could rise to €2m.

The 26-year-old former Italy youth international was recently named as the Serie A goalkeeper of the year for 2023-24, although he was not included in Luciano Spalletti’s provisional 30-man squad for EURO 2024 this summer.

Amusingly, Di Gregorio is set to effectively audition in front of his new supporters on Saturday, as Juventus host Monza in their final Serie A game of the season at 17.00 BST.
