An insight into the plans of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick to make use of Gavi in the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo has this evening been provided.

The name of midfielder Gavi has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Spanish international, almost exactly a year on from suffering an ACL tear, is in line for his first start of the campaign.

After being afforded late cameos off the bench for the last month, Gavi, it is understood, will be in from the off when Barcelona take to the pitch at Balaídos later tonight.

This, however, does not mean that the 20-year-old is expected to play 90 minutes. Far from it…

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘It is expected that at the latest a few minutes into the second half Hansi Flick will choose to replace him.’

Gavi, from here, will then drop back to the bench for Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League meeting with Brest on Tuesday.
